[ you never get to see her treated well, with respect from their peers. He hangs around with a-holes for 7 years or more, and then what, he wakes up and smells the coffee? It just never enters his mind as far as I could tell. It was like the author sweeps those 7 years under the carpet with some action and slight of hand. Poof, 7 years gone, now the heroine has no reason not to love the hero. Whenever you thought she would stand her ground, some kinda action would take place and the H was never made to reply to her. To actually grovel. Where's the remorse? (hide spoiler)]
