This final book in the "Phoenix Rising Trilogy" finds Elissa living in her father's castle when she discovers that he has plans for her to marry. She decides that she must leave and concocts a plan that will take her away from her father's control. Plans do not always work out as they should and Elissa finds herself on an adventure that will take her to the end of the world as she knows it. Characters from the two earlier books in the trilogy join Elissa as she fights her nemesis and his underlings. Captured by pirates and taken to Khan's fortress, Elissa and friends, with their special powers, battle to save themselves and the world. While a reader will be able to make sense of the story without reading the previous two books, it would be helpful to have read them to keep track of the various characters, powers endowed to some of the characters, and for the history of how Elissa finds herself in the current situation.
