If you are going to pick one book to read from this series, it has to be this one. And if you are looking for a good series to read, this is a great series. This book, however, is definitely my favorite.
This is a well written story with fairly realistic characters (the Princess and her country are completely made up, but if there was a Princess of a foreign country, she'd be a good one). She of course has been coddled her whole life but finds herself in a life or death situation when she meets Gabriel. Gabriel's situation has been set up in the previous two books so we have an idea of what is going on with him when he meets Sophia.
Theirs is a tortuous love story - tragic, impossible, sensual - I loved it. This is the most sensual of Ms. Foley's books in this series and the scenes are good.
I didn't want it to end - you must read!
