Last Words
In this book from 2007, Gabriel Beck is Chief of Police in tourist town St. Dennis, Maryland. A few women have gone missing in a several mile area around St. Dennis. The first body is left on her parents front porch, cocooned in clear plastic wrap to suffocate. The killer puts an audio tape of the final words inside the wrapping. The second body is left in the back seat of Beck's Jeep in the same condition. Beck calls in the FBI and Agent Mia Shields responds. The hunt is on.
Oh, how I love my serial killer books! I appreciated the writing style that made this book easy to read. I liked both main characters Beck and Mia, although Mia drinks an awful lot of wine. Although I figured out who the killer was very early on, I really enjoyed this book.
