American Public Administration: Public Service for the 21st Century
Every time I rate something as a 2 Star book I feel like I have to explain that by Goodreads standards 2 Star is "it was okay" which isn't as bad as some people immediately think.
This was about like you would expect for a graduate level textbook on Public Administration. I learned a lot about administrative theories and I've read enough in the field now that I'm beginning to make connections between all the different things and see all the subtle relationships. Incidentally, I can say that if you actually want to read a book on Public Administration, this isn't a terrible one, you could probably do a lot worse. But then again, if you're looking for these for fun then you may be crazy enough to thoroughly enjoy this one.
I'll be saving it until I write my thesis eventually and then dumping it at the local used bookstore or my garage sale so someone else can suffer through it I'm sure.
