Timeliness/Permanence: There are no works post 2002, which makes this collection a bit outdated. However, while many students and teachers will be up to date on current young adult fiction, this may open their eyes to other great books that were published in the 90's and are still relevant.
Accessibility/Diversity: This book specifically services students taht deal with difference and disabilities. It allows them to find fiction books that will connect their issues to characters.
