San Francisco magician Emma Passant is puzzled by her grandfather's cryptic will. Another story with family secrets. I loved it. Emma recalls an image of standinh knee-deep in snow, but her grandfather, the only family she has ever known, insists she has only ever lived in San Francisco where it never snows. When her grandfather is killed in what the police insist was a mugging and robbery gone wrong, Emma sets out to prove there is more to the story. Her search leads her to a remote Caribbean island, then New York, and finally to Paris, brfore she learns the whole story.
