Négy csillag, mert nekem fura, a japán történelemnek az a felosztása, amit Totman használ a fejezetekre bontáskor (ez persze szubjektÃv :D), és mert volt, ahol elfogulatlanabbul is megÃrhatta volna a dolgokat. EttÅ‘l függetlenül nagyon hasznos könyv japán szakon, fÅ‘leg a töri-társtöri speces illetÅ‘knek. :) Sok vizsgához jól jön, rengeteg infót lehet belÅ‘le szemezgetni, és jól kiegészÃti az egyetemi elÅ‘adásokat.
Magyar, meg szerintem angol nyelven is ez a könyv a legrészletesebb, legátfogóbb a japán történelemről.
Én nem úgy olvastam, hogy nekiültem és nosza rajta - bár de, elsÅ‘re nekiugrottam, de csak a 80. oldalig jutottam, ott feladtam :D -, hanem mindig ami az adott vizsgához kellett, az adott korszakhoz. Akkor se mindent, csak a köztörténetet, társtörit, gazdaságot, ilyesmit, a kulturális részeket nem. És mikor Ãgy elértünk az egyetem végére, már nagy része megvolt, ezután lezáróvizsgáztam töribÅ‘l meg társtöribÅ‘l, és utána visszatértem a még nem olvasott részekhez, és sorban azokat is elolvastam. Nem is nagyon ajánlom, hogy valaki csak úgy nekiüljön és mint egy regényt kezdje olvasni elejétÅ‘l végéig, az úgy elég száraz és tömény - kivéve persze, ha az illetÅ‘ tényleg fanatikusan szereti a történelmet, akkor talán sikerülhet neki (bár nekem is kedvenc témám a töri, mégsem sikerült Ãgy kivégezni a könyvet :D). De szerintem jobb idÅ‘szakosan olvasni, többen Ãgy csináltuk az egyetem alatt, és úgy ki lehet végezni becsülettel. :)
Örülök, hogy megvettem, sok segÃtséget nyújtott. A végén pedig tök jó a bibliográfia, ajánlom minden japán (vagy más kelet-ázsiai) szakon szakdolgozónak a figyelmébe, mert tematikusan rendbe szedve rengeteg Japánnal foglalkozó irodalmat ajánl, fÅ‘leg persze angolul; de mindenképp jó forráskereséshez, minden témához ajánl pár könyvet, az animék-mangákig, tényleg minden területre, amit csak kutatni lehet. :)
