Fascinating. A great reference full of wonderful articles. I love the random things you find flipping around in it. For just one example, the article on the advent of barbed wire and how that changed the open ranges of the midwest in the late 19th century. Things like that that you might not expect.
On the other hand, I will say a couple of downsides now although I still gave it five stars. 1.) Scant coverage of natives and 2.) Incomplete index (just one example, the barbed wire article I mentioned isn't in it although it is a multi-page article) and finally, 3.) I wish the biographical and non-biographical articles were split into separate sections. Cool book!
