Truth about Leo Strauss
I had read a bit of Strauss a long time ago when I read more political theory. He was a complex thinker and a challenging read, but if you like classical political theory he is a key person. My interest in him was reawakened during the second Iraq war, when his name started to get linked to the positions of some of the neoconservatives, such as Wolfowitz. This book raised this connection and I wanted to see if there was a basis to the strong linkage with the neocons. There wasn't - Strauss was being misused. This is not very surprising, but it is good to have clarified it. The book served my purposes, but it is more for specialists, a camp to which I do not belong.
