Did My Neurons Make Me Do It? Book

I'm marking this as "3 stars" mainly because, while I did enjoy it, there are parts of the book I'm not entirely clear on and can therefore not judge at the moment. Not having the most extensive background in philosophy, I had difficulty following certain parts of the text, though other parts were perfectly clear. Mainly this review is going to stand as a place holder of sorts, as I'm going to both let the information percolate a bit and do some further reading on the subject, after which I will re-read this book and see what's what. To the rest of the book, though, I'll say it was well researched and well reasoned. The authors make convincing arguments against what they see as the quintessentially flawed premises from which we approach the topics of free will and personal responsibility, and their envisioning of the mind as arising from neural activity within a context not only makes intuitive sense, but is also firmly based on empirically obtained evidence. An interesting, if thick read.
