Manatee Blues (Vet Volunteer Series #4)
In Laurie Anderson Halse fourth novel in the Vet Volunteers series, Manatee Blues, there are three girls named Maggie, Zoe, and Brenna who are studying manatees. Dr. Mac was Maggie and Zoe's uncle. Their uncle decided to take them to Florida to visit the Manatee Rescue Center. When they got there, they met the owner named Gretchen. One of the first things the girls had to do when they arrived, rescued a hurt manatee! The manatee got hit by a boat! They quickly realized her name was Violet and this was not the first time they had rescued her. They brought Violet back and made sure she was okay. Through a series of events, they can save a baby manatee and do whatever it takes to reopen the center. I enjoyed this book, and I highly recommend it.
