Young Mozart Book

The author Rachel Isadora writes the biography about the famous musician Mozart. To say the truth Mozart's name is Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, so his story is more family-like to his career in the music industry. His entire family were musicians and he learned how to play almost every instrument because of his family's background. Before he learned to write words, he wrote music notes instead. By the age of five, he taught himself to play the violin and played for many around Europe. When Wolfgang was seven, he composed the music while he played at the same time. By the age of twenty-one, he toured Europe by himself and completed several works that were written or played by him. As a great composer, many believed that he was the greatest person who lived. The story of Mozart is more personalize this story and not seen as some old guy who played the piano. From his family's motivation and background, he became a great musician and composer.

The book overall was a good read with some parts of his childhood seen as funny, while there is more mentionewd about the family dynamic and history in Mozart's life. The illustrations are very vivid from the use of watercolors and bright colors that may appeal to older readers. In Isadora's writing, the text gives a brief insight to Mozart's travels and what inspired him to music. I would use this book in my classroom since some children may not know who Mozart is, but for them to at least what he did as an artiest that motivates several people today.
