I enjoyed this book a lot, the epistles of St. Ignatius were my favourite, especially the ones in which he looked forward to his coming martyrdom.
"I am the wheat of God and am ground by the teeth of the wild beasts, that I may be found the pure bread of Christ."
I read that John Calvin rejected all the epistles of Ignatius as being forgeries, including the seven now universally accepted by scholars as being authentic, due to them being too Catholic. This makes sense, as he clearly believed in the real presence and apostolic succession.
Great book, would recommend.
