This Poetry book has a new poem on each page. They all come together collectively to make a story. The story goes through the way to silly street and then the different parts of silly street and the things that are happening there. This author Jeff Foxworthy is a comedian turned author so he tends to write story's that are on the comical side. This book is good for kids ages 4 and up.
In my first grade classroom I would use this book to talk with my students about rhyming words and if the story is something that could actually happen or if it is just plain silly. I would have my students pick out rhyming word so that we could discuss their rhyming patterns. I really enjoyed this silly entertaining book. Throughout the story you never knew what was going to happen next.
