Love with the Proper Husband
England 1820. This story had too many coincidences.
Marcus (non-rake, non-nerd), an earl, & Gwen, were
fated to be together, per their late fathers. But Gwen
tended toward assumptions+ impulses. Marcus noted
Gwen's intelligence: but did he have proof of same?
Around the 90% mark, Gwen made a rash decision, w/
no basis in reality. Soon after, the author said of Gwen:
"There was every possibility that Gwen was indeed a fool."
Yes!
Marcus deserved a woman w/ more common sense. He
was a 'keeper' but she needed an emotional make-over.
