I thought this book had a lot of promise. I was interested in the idea of traditional dating, since, you know, non-traditional dating can be confusing and doesn't always work out. But the book lost me when it suggested I tell a man I don't "hug" on the first date. I conducted a very informal survey of men and asked if they would think a girl was interested if a woman ended a date with a handshake, and they all said, no. They keep emphasizing that men like a challenge, but seriously.. if a guy ended a date with ME with a handshake, I would think he was not interested, at all. I tried to shake my ideas of 21st century dating and all that when reading this, but I just couldn't. I guess it's worked for other people, but I can't imagine it working for me.
