The creation of Pat Brady and Don Wimmer, this Rose is Rose collection features more than 40 weeks of Gumbo family high jinks.
After two decades of sketching every Rose is Rose strip himself, Brady shifted the writing and drawing duties to Don Wimmer. This Rose is Rose collection features the talents of Wimmer as based on Brady's creation.

100% Whole Grin Rose Is Rose
I have read and really, really liked Rose is Rose for a long time now, both for its positive outlook and for the inventive uses of showing the inner life of the characters visually, making the the parents small as kids when they feel young at heart, making Rose a biker chick when she feel rebellious and so on. Now, for the first time, I find myself skipping ahead, reading here and there, not really interested in reading every last strip in this collection. Looking at it again I realise that this is the first volume I've read with the new artists Don Wimmer, and even though I would say that the art is virtually indestinguishable form Pat Brady's, the heart of this strip has somehow left with Brady.
Needless to say, I won't be getting any more Rose is Rose-collections, which is a bit sad.
