Biography of Brooke Burke

Brooke Lisa Burke Charvet, better known by her maiden name, Brooke Burke, is an American actress, dancer, model, and television personality. She is known for Rock Star, winning the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars, and for co-hosting Dancing With the Stars starting in 2010.

Burke was born in Hartford, Connecticut, and raised in Tucson, Arizona. She is the youngest of two children born to Donna and George Burke. Burke's mother was adopted, the daughter of a Portuguese sailor. Her father is of French and Irish descent and left the family when she was two. She was raised by her Armenian stepfather in her mother's Jewish religion and is also raising her children Jewish. She attended both Sahuaro High School and Palo Verde High School in Tucson where she was homecoming queen in 1989. She later studied broadcast journalism.

She appeared in men's magazines such as Maxim, Stuff, Playboy, and FHM. In 2007, she was listed as one of Blender's hottest women of film and TV.
