Zagat Connecticut Restaurants 2009-2010 Book

My husband and I are planning a road trip this summer down Highway 395, along the Eastern Sierras, and I saw that this book had been recommended by many visitors. I didn't know as much about this area of California as the rest of the state, so I was looking for a guide for what to see and what to do. I am a curious, full-immersion kind of traveler, who is interested not just in tourist attractions, but also the history, flora, fauna, water features, and geology. This book is a wonderful, inspiring, guide to the natural (and man-made) wonders of the Eastern Sierras, including mountains, lakes, rivers, forests, hikes, towns, ghost towns, volcanic features, deserts, and wildlife. Chapters have detailed maps and include directions to each site described in the text. Reading through this book has made me eagerly anticipate our road trip, so I can see these areas in person. We plan to take this book with us in the car and I know it will be valuable resource!
