Classic Kirk Gibson homerun call from Jack Buck. Just amazing.
"It's a long fly ball to deep right field, this is gonna be a home run. Unbelievable! And the Dodgers win 5 -4" I get goosebumps just writing this as I can hear the call in my mind. I can see Eckersly slump over after throwing the 3-2 backdoor changeup. I can see Gibson limping around the bases pumping his fist. I can see Tommy Lasorda running and jumping out of the dugout. Just an incredible scene at the World Series.
