Seven Short and Very Short Plays
I was required to read this for my playwriting class, and it left me truly excited about the wonders a person can create when writing for the stage. The dialogue in this play is quick and formatted in a way where it seems to never stop, similarly to the car that the duo is riding in. The most exciting thing about this play is the way time is handled. You are never quite sure of when it is, but at the same time completely sure and just when you are completely sure that is turned on it's head which is so exciting. You aren't left in one place for too long and the playing with time slowly washes over you and you go from being not aware of it at all to knowing exactly what is happening. At another point that switches and the time becomes overwhelming and as you read you feel suffocated by the world. Overall an exciting piece I would love to see performed to see how the actors handle the time.
