Bob Tyrrell, editor-in-chief of The American Spectator magazine, has long been a critic of Slick Willie and his Administration. He is quick to point out that the moniker came not from Washington but from the voters of Arkansas where Clinton was Governor. His magazine reported on Clinton's activities in Arkansas earlier than probably anyone than Rush Limbaugh and broke the story of Paula Jones and Troopergate. His chronicles of everything from the RTC obstruction of justice in Kansas City to the funny money flowing to President Clinton to the bimbo eruptions led him to write a fictional "docu-drama" of what it would be like if Clinton were subjected to the impeachment process (which he eventually was). It is a fascinating read with mock headlines alongside true documentation and true-to-life character portraits in the Congress; he soundly made the case that impeachment was a distinct possibility, months before it actually was. He and his anonymous co-author were more prescient than they knew.
