Louisiana in Words
I contributed to this book and I loved Josh Clark's vision for it. We were told upon submission that he wanted no Katrina stories. I think that when it was released it may have been too soon after the flood. Long term though I think some of the essays from outside New Orleans, in marshland particularly, will be important memory minutes as those disappearing marshlands were hit once more by the oil spill. Overall it was a monumental editing effort and I applaud Josh for taking it on.
