Kekkaishi, Vol. 4 continues where the previous tankÅbon left off and contains the next nine chapters (27-35) of the on-going manga series with a bonus story.
Masamori Sumimura, a Shadow Organization member and Yoshimori Sumimura's older brother, arrives at the Karasumori site - much to Yoshimori's annoyance. The next night, Masamori creates a scheme where the school's grounds into a forests, which surprises Yoshimori and Tokine Yukimura. They try to destroy one of the trees, but to no avail until they grow in strength in their kekkaishi powers. After fending off Masamori's scheme, Yoshimori promises his brother that he would become stronger and seal off Karasumori's power forever.
This tankÅbon is written and illustrated by Yellow Tanabe. The tankÅbon introduces Masamori Sumimura, the eldest son of the Sumimura Family. Although he is the oldest of the three brothers, Masamori was not chosen as the heir, which had always been a source of mystery to both him and Yoshimori. He is a very skilled Kekkaishi - mastering the highest defense techniques. It is rather interesting to read the dynamic between these two siblings.
All in all, Kekkaishi, Vol. 4 is a wonderful continuation to a series that seems really intriguing and I can't wait to read more.
