Clown Skits for Everyone
His book must be read with keeping in mind when it was written. It does have some good tips about clowning in it, but, to me, some of the skits are inappropriate in today's society. Slap stick has no place in today's world. Back in the 50's most everyone knew when the Three Stooges poked and slapped each other, no one was really hurt. Today's society is quite different. Many kids suffer the abuse that some of these skits portray, which for them wouldn't be funny. Besides that, many of the skits require way too many props. Who has room to store all of those props? Much less the money to buy or make them. Please don't use the example of clown makeup in the beginning of this book. It's just scary.
