A truly interesting book.
How to redesign and re-purpose blighted neighborhoods in a huge metropolis?
Professor Cuff describes how it was done here in Los Angeles. Among the five projects examined here, the scouring of the Chavez Ravine is just about the saddest: Remove the low rent shacks inhabited by (Brown) families, promise new subsidized housing, take years to move forward with the plan then pull the old switch-a-roo and erect Dodger Stadium instead of housing for the poor.
