Izvrsna studija Äiji je cilj ne sveobuhvatna definicija drame već opis njenih mehanizama. Popis dramskih strategija je iscrpan i predstavlja odliÄno polaziÅ¡te za dalja istraživanja.
Teorija ima jedan zanimljiv sled. ÄŒesto je potrebno da neko zamrÅ¡enu materiju pojednostavi, da bi je neko drugi ponovo zamrsio. (ZamrÅ¡ivanje zamrÅ¡ivanja ne valja, kao ni pojednostavljivanje pojednostavljivanja.) I Å¡ta Fister radi? Fiksira pojmove i daje dobar pregled istorije istraživanja. To nije originalna pozicija, ali jeste prekopotrebna. Obuhvaćene su kljuÄne teme: osobine dramskog govora i odlike komunikacije u drami, odnos pozoriÅ¡nog izvoÄ‘enja i dramskog teksta, status likova, prostor, vreme, epizacija i odnos priÄe i radnje u drami. Za svakoga ko želi da se ozbiljnije bavi dramom, nezaobilazna lektira, za ostale, zgodna na preskoke.
InaÄe, otkrio sam kako je jedan naÅ¡ prouÄavalac književnosti, iz meni neznanog razloga, napisao pre viÅ¡e od 25 godina, jedan izvrstan rad o drami kao književnom rodu, navodeći primere upravo iz Fisterove knjige, ali ne i izvor. Nije mi jasno zaÅ¡to je to uradio, budući da bi navoÄ‘enje izvora samo dalo kredibilitet radu, no dobro.
