George Washington Remembers: Reflections on the French and Indian War
Covers the wayward Anglo-American relations during the JFK/Macmillan era. Deals mostly with Skybolt, Congo, Yemen, Cuba, the UK's desired to enter the EEC, and the zaniness of trying to elucidate a nuclear test ban treaty. Lots of good material culled from the UK FO archives on the odd nature of UK/US relations and the UK's attempt to remain "independent" at a time when its global clout was on the wane.
