This Twelfth Edition of The Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World is the latest edition of a title which has steadily evolved since The Times first published a world atlas in 1895.

This Twelfth Edition brings all the mapping fully up to date, includes a new map of Alaska and northwest Canada and provides significant enhancements to important areas. Recent geopolitical changes are reflected - notably the split of Serbia and Montenegro into seperate independent countries.

While retaining the authority and tradition for which Times atlases are widely renowned, this Twelfth Edition of The Times Comprehensive Atlas of the World uses technology never envisaged by the cartographers who produced the earlest editions.
