The Tales of the Mahgil: Book One: Hell's Gate Book

Long ago, when the time known as A.D. was beginning, a small group of people near Jerusalem were gifted with the abilities of Angelic magic from God. These people came to be known as the mahgil.

The mahgil were charged with preventing the Apocalypse from coming too early, and when it came, they were to assist those who sided with God in the war. The Apocalypse is set for a certain time to happen. But The Dark Lord Satan wants to begin his war immediately.

For thousands of years, the mahgil performed their duties in secret, erasing themselves from history. They combated Satan's creations that escaped the inferno of Hell, preparing themselves for Armageddon.

And now, Satan's strength has grown and he has built his armies to an overwhelming size. He is ready to wage war on Earth, but mahgil John Dubell stands in his way. The Beast and his minions can be stopped altogether if John travels the world in search of four talismans that can be placed upon The Gate of Hell to seal the inferno until the day that the Apocalypse is meant to begin.

But John can't accomplish this task alone. Along with him comes his best friend Nick Cookson, Maria Tucci the sightseer, Peter Kachenski the dracomancer, Nathan Childress the elemental, and Sean Hacker the naturmagi.
