The Beauty Prescription: The Complete Formula for Looking and Feeling Beautiful Book

I almost gave this book 2 stars based on the fact that is contains one or two tips about skincare that could be useful, but I just couldn't. The tone throughout the book made me nauseous. I was just looking for some info on taking care of my skin. What I got instead was endless brazenly superficial "tips" like this one: "A big reason we've put self-esteem on such a high pedestal in this book is that poor self-esteem makes you unlikely to undertake significant changes in your life." Good Lord, the authors need to Google the definition of self-esteem. What I learned from this book about "beauty" could've been contained in an article in a woman's magazine. Definitely didn't need to read 300 pages about how attractive people have better lives because they are treated better than others, or how I should start botox in my THIRTIES! Gee, I wonder where the average American woman's self-esteem problems come from?
