Description- This Almanac includes 38 topics from Aerospace to the Zodiac. Each topic includes an introduction, a chronology of important dates, notable figures, key terms, and multiple charts as well as other graphics. It is designed to appeal to the visually oriented youth of today.
Content and Scope- The information is very detailed with as many as twenty pages of facts on some topics.
Accuracy, Authority, and Bias- The information appears accurate and sources for where the facts where found are listed in small print within the text.
Arrangement- The topics are arranged in alphabetically order with key ideas listed in alphabetical order at the beginning of each session. There is also an index in the back arranged alphabetically making the book easy to use.
Relation to Similar Works: This book is very similar to the Scholastics Children's Almanac.
Timeline and Permanence: I would update this reference every 2-3 years.
Cost: 9.09
Rationale for the Selection: It is a well-organized and easy to use reference. I like the use of side panels at the beginning of each session for key facts.
