Smalltalk, Objects, and Design Book

This book tries to cram all the information a Smalltalk designer (or any other oop programmer) would need to know in order to design good programs.

Part of it is outdated because of the language it used (IBM Smalltalk), but most of it can be applied on any contemporary Smalltalk implementation.

My main problem with it was the lack of detail and examples. Of course there are some simple implementations here and there but these are insufficient for gaining certain concrete experience. That's why this book can easily be read the same as a fiction book (at least the second half).

Maybe for experienced designers the book would remind them of some patterns or techniques they overlooked in the past, or even some "aha!" moments, but for a rookie (like me) this is not a satisfactory read.
