Shaman King, Volume 3
Nothing in this volume is different than the anime. I realized that I forgot the moment when certain things happen in the anime so I can't really compare, but I think these have been respected.
In this volume, Tokagero takes over Ryu's (/Ryo) body and tries to get revenge against Amidamaru, which killed him 600 years ago. I don't think this is mentioned in the anime, but Tokagero ate his own mother for survival and this made me sad. Eventually, Harusame is broken and Mosuke is brought back to repair it. Tokagero understands what friendship is by possessing Yoh's body so he gives up on his plan and stays with Ryu who now wants to become a Shaman. At the end, the comet appears on the sky announcing the Shaman King Fight has begun. That's kinda it.
