The twelve constellations of the Fagan-Allen Sidereal depict the agricultural and social activities of ancient Egypt. The Egyptians needed a simple and accurate calendar based on the stars in order to time their activities and in particular the annual flooding of the Nile river. This was a matter of life or death to the local residents because the flood would turn their arid land into a vast lake rich in marine life and bring tons of sediments that would fertilize the soil. The Egyptian star gazers knew that when the first stars of Aquarius would rise in the East after sunset, this would mark the timing of the flooding of the Nile, hence they named Aquarius 'The Water.' The constellations were their projected patterns onto the sky and have no astrological influence.
Seven Rays Astrology offers a radical departure from the Tropical and Sidereal zodiacs by the introduction of the Solar zodiac and a new set of planetary rulers. Each planet channels one of seven rays with its own unique set of talents, gifts and characteristics. We experience the different energies of these seven rays throughout the year as the Earth travels around the Sun. We are dealing with a ray calendar, not seed sowing or crop harvesting.
Our solar system is moving in space toward a specific direction called the Solar Apex located at 0 00' in Sagittarius in the Solar zodiac. The Solar Apex defines the boundaries of the twelve constellations and ray influences. The Ascendant in the chart describes the Soul and the Sun describes the personality. Each individual therefore has two dominant rays and by knowing these rays, the life path and destiny are clearly seen. An Age Point Progression technique of 72 years discovered by astrologer Bruno Huber is also presented as an accurate planning tool.
