Sacrificed Wife/Sacrificer's Wife
My dear professor's fascination was with ritual--all the intricate little aspects of ritual--and Hindu religions, especially Vedic traditons. It is obvious why he chose this book, then, and it focuses heavily on aspects of Vedic ritual. I appreciate ritual more for the spiritual and communal aspects, less for the material aspects (i.e., exact placement of clarified goat's butter) so this was a bit tedious for me...
