There are some interesting chapters in this book but it reads like an apology for Fundamental Theology and repackages it for the modern age. It takes some concepts of fundamental theology like the personal God, revelation (general and specific), etc. but only provides context and some explanation. That means you can get a good grip on some basic understandings of Christian concepts and terminology but also nothing more than that. (so that's why 3 stars) Each chapter seemed to me like a long introduction to a concept. That's okay if you start thinking, implementing and using those concepts and terms afterwards in coherent fundamental theological thought. This book doesn't. The title of this book is therefore incorrect and should be: 'An introduction to the basic notions of fundamental theology'
