Popular Art Deco: Depression Era Style and Design
Like the other reviews here on Goodreads, i only came across this book because i visited the village of Abiquiu while on a recent holiday in New Mexico. i suspect that is the best way to find, and truly appreciate, this personal account of Napoleon Garcian (the genizaro) and Geogria O'Keeffe (the artist).
visiting Abiquiu, seeing the church Morada del Alto (with the three wooden crosses), Chama River and especially Plaza Blanc -all subjects of her paintings- was truly a wonderful experience which was made more complete by reading this simple, honest lovely little book.
