Pequena the Burro Book

This book is a multicultural book about a burro named Paquena who lives in Mexico and gives rides to children in the park, she does not feel like she is important and that she does not have a purpose until her friends tell her about how burros help build many cities in Mexico and were important to the first immigrants. She also saves a child at a birthday party and is honored in the Mexico independence day parade. I think this book does a good job of teaching how important your heritage is and is a good book to teach about multicultural topic because it talks about many celebrations and traditions in the Mexican heritage.
