My mother-in-law told me early on when I had children to find the humor in raising kids, and I thank her for that advice. When my sister and I co-wrote the bestselling parenting humor gift book, Motherhood is not for Wimps, we were able to capture the joy, the laughter, the poignancy of being a mom with inspirational and humorous quotes.

I often talk to moms who look to me with exasperation that they have while raising little ones and I really want to hug them and tell them it will all work out. I want to tell them that they do grow out of every stage that they are now in. One day will come when they have left the nest and you'll wonder whatever happened to your little babies. This will happen. I assure you. BUT, it's always easier for someone to say this whose children have already grown up.

It's when you are there, in the trenches, that it is most difficult. It is for you that I have written this book, to tell you that I have been there, and it's really all good… eventually!
