Making Love to Roget's Wife : Poems New and Selected Book

It was the mid-nineties and i was in high school and i lived in westchester county, so i read poetry. this is one of very few that i kept. i re-read it recently looking for a line that i love and think of everyday looking out of the bus window from the v.a. hospital to duke children's. it is: coming out of the hospital with the news that she has a skull like marmalade and may, at fifteen, one day learn to talk like a fish. the whole rest of the book does not come close to that line.
