This wasn't really short, but it was to-the-point. I loved the 'recipes' and that basically all of them contained about all of the same things. There were some great tips and tricks that I hadn't known about and there were some things I would like to try. I liked the cleaning, beauty, relaxing, home remedies, and pet 'recipes'. A lot of stuff that was needed is something you would most likely already have in home (minus essential oils for the pretty stuff). This is something I would definitely refer to if I owned it. As it is, I ended up taking lots of notes so I would have the info on hand if needed. A great help-read and not too overwhelming with info that's a little new to me. Great instructions that were clear and understandable and good pictures. Enjoy
