Rachel's an interesting and likeable 'business expert' having learned the hard way through the collapse of her 'Red Letter Days' in the full glare of publicity during her Dragon's Den days, as well as subsequent experiences. I saw her again recently at the UK National Business Networking event in Wolverhampton - organised by Brad Burton of 4Networking - and was prompted to reread her 'Business Nightmares' book.

I read this book when it first came out but enjoyed it even more the second time around (and have flagged it to re-read again...) It's a great selection of stories of successful entrepreneurs who have gone through their own, mostly public, business nightmares. Most are well-known names and based on face-to-face interviews that Rachel managed to convince them to do.

We often hear of the success stories of the famous; it's good - and to my mind more valuable - to hear of the failures, and learn from them.
