Ferry Plaza Farmer's Market Cookbook: A Comprehensive Guide to Impeccable Produce Book

The Ferry Plaza Farmers' Market was probably the highlight of my trip to San Francisco this past fall. I'm a market devotee - but the range and quality of produce and other foodstuffs available at the Ferry Plaza Market blew my mind. I really regret only having an hour to peruse, and hope I can visit again soon. This cookbook was just about the next best thing - full of lovely photos, profiles of farmers/vendors, information about the various products, and wonderful recipes. It's like a more compact, but also more rich version of Deborah Madison's Local Flavors: Cooking and Eating from America's Farmers' Markets, which I own and love.

Just about the only thing keeping me from adding this one to my wishlist is that buying seasonal cookbooks from other regions can be problematic. If that sort of thing doesn't bother you as much as it does me, or if you're looking for a really great cookbook that might have recipes that highlight the wonderful thing you found at the market - check this one out from the library or buy a copy for your happy perusal.
