It all began the day Chrissie Scott looked into the mirror and saw somebody else's reflection. A boy who looked exactly like her. Nothing would ever be the same again...
The evil twins, Larry and Lori Lee, are back -- with the greatest terror of all: Athenor, the Mother of All Dragons! In exchange for their help in freeing her from thousands of years in Limbo, the terrifying dragon has agreed to spare them -- as she wreaks vengeance on Earth and the world of magic!
The future of both worlds depends on Chrissie, Chris, their pet dragons, and friends Jessica and science-whiz Henry. But they're all imprisoned in a stone dungeon where magic doesn't work! How can they escape? In a few hours the Lees and Athenor will drain all electricity and magic from the universe. They've already begun...
Here is another adventure featuring Chrissie Scott, her dragon Kara, and a plot to take over the world. It might be a good idea to read the first two books in the "Magical States Series" before embarking on this one. Chrissie and her friends Jessica and Henry have saved the world before, and they could be forgiven for thinking that their work was done, but nothing is ever that simple. The evil twins, Larry and Lori Lee, have formed an alliance with Athenor, the Mother of All Dragons. This alliance will let the twins drain all energy-both electrical and magical-from both Earth and the world of magic, while Athenor will gain her revenge on the people who kept her imprisoned for thousands of years. Are you confused yet? Wait. On the world of magic, everyone on the planet is a reversed double of someone on Earth. Chrissie's double is Chris, an attractive young man! And (of course) Jessica, who knows nothing about magic, is attracted to him! This story is much more fun to read than it is to try to explain. There are actually two little dragons, and also a double-dealing cat, whose roles are cleverly written. The Lees find out what the kids from Earth are up to, capture them, and lock them in "a stone dungeon where magic doesn't work." How will they escape? Recommended. 2002, Aladdin, Ages 8 to 12.
