Dinosaurs Forever is a book of poems about dinosaurs dressed in human clothes doing silly things dinosaurs normally would not do. However, many of the poems are informational and talk about what specific dinosaurs were actually like in a fun and interesting way. Although the book is meant to be silly to capture the attention of young readers, the poems often highlight the key features of certain dinosaurs so that it is still informational. The book contains detailed illustrations of dinosaurs doing silly things that children will absolutely love!
I would use this book in my classroom when doing a unit on dinosaurs because I think poems are a fun way to present information to students. Additionally I think my students would really enjoy the illustrations since the dinosaurs look funny rather than silly.
