Colonialism: A Theoretical Overview Book

This is the only book of its kind that I could find: a short, simple, one-volume overview of colonialism in general. It may simply be that there is no way to do this without having some of the problems that this book has, but often the chapters ended up feeling like long lists of specific example, without much of an over-arching framework. Again, it may still be the best there is, but I feel like it could be better.
