A hitch in heaven
A well~crafted read. This is my first historical from this author. After being vastly entertained by 3 of her Free Fellows League novels and wanting more from Ms. Hagan Lee, I decided to give this one a try. Being an admirer of her work, this novel most definitely affirmed Rebecca Hagan Lee as a very gifted author and that in whatever timeline and genre she chooses to write about, the reader is always assured that she will have a fun and thrilling adventure. I specially liked that instead of kidnapping brides the Highlanders kidnapped grooms. The setting and characters are credible and very relatable. The author has given us very strong yet feminine and endearing characters. Smart and very decisive in speech as well as in deeds. Magda and Flora and the confrontation scenes between Charlotte and Deborah also between Jessalyn and Deborah were truly "badass."
