He faked college degrees, professional affiliations, career histories - pretty much everything, including his name. Without any relevant schooling, throughout his life he "was" (meaning he successfuly convinced people he was) a pilot, doctor and college professor, among others. Amazing.

This is a great book and a real inspiration for those who believe the mantra: what people don't know won't hurt them - and will probably help me.
